Guidelines for a safe & enjoyable practice

These guidelines will support you, the teacher, and other students in creating a serene environment conducive to inner work.

Before Class

  • Hydrate!

  • Show up on a relatively empty stomach.

  • Be prepared with your mat, a towel large enough to put on top of your mat, and your reusable water bottle. You can always rent mats & towels at the studio if you need to, and we have them for sale too.

  • The doors to the studio open fifteen minutes before class, please arrive before class is scheduled to start

  • Wear whatever you feel comfortable sweating in. Women often wear shorts, sports bras, tank tops, and men often wear just shorts.

During Class

  • Set up your mat halfway over the blue lines on the floor in the studio.

  • Know you can always be still and take breaks.

  • Be kind to yourself! Try what you can, there’s plenty of time to adapt.

  • Breathe.

After Class

  • Take a few minutes for yourself before leaving.

  • Be aware of your personal belongings.

  • Respect your fellow students’ space on the way out.

  • Continue to hydrate, and increase your electrolytes.

  • You may want to bring an extra towel and a change of clothes for a shower after class.

  • We close the studio open fifteen minutes after class, please be mindful of everyone’s time, since we all have schedules to keep.
